Espazzola – Cleaning brew groups, quickly and easily!

The Espazzola is a professional tool for cleaning the brew group of espresso machines. It is inserted into the brew group like a portafilter and utilizes hot water from the machine for thorough and comprehensive removal of coffee residues from all surfaces. Instead of laboriously brushing the brew group by hand, the machine cleans itself almost automatically.

The new Espazzola can be used with two or three cam portafilter machines. With the help of metal clips, the Espazzola can be easily converted to fit two or three cams.

How does the Espazzola work?

The Espazzola consists of a rigid cup part that can be inserted into the brew group like a portafilter. A flexible insert – the membrane – is attached inside this cup.

The flexible membrane adapts to the brew group. All areas in this intricate and hot part are wiped simultaneously – up to the seal and into the groove for the portafilter cams!

At the same time, the hot water from the espresso machine is utilized to thoroughly flush the brew group. It is safely directed over the rim of the cup into the drip tray.

With this intelligent principle, cleaning all surfaces in the brew group takes less than 20 seconds and is as simple as pulling an espresso shot. And all this without any major mess or burned fingers! The espresso machine practically cleans itself.

To make sure that the Espazzola fits, check the portafilter of your machine for these features:

– The portafilter must be between 56mm and 58mm wide on the inside. (Additional size 53mm can be found in our shop)

The Espazzola does not fit the following machines:
